I feel these little builders are kindred spirits.
My mom bought Sassu a blue gel ant farm when we visited the natural history museum at Yale. We first tried some little ants from the yard but they didn't do much so we bought some harvester ants. These ants went to work!
After a few weeks, the ants started to die. It was sad so I took them to work to spare the kids. I thought that maybe I should release them into the wild but I imagined them losing the only home they'd ever known and being attacked and killed by strange ants so let them finish their time in their blue gel cell.
